Fall to Rise
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. …… Genesis 3:10
The fall of (male and female) man from the intended order introduced the following almost immediately:
1. Fear
2. Self Consciousness
3. Insecurity/ Inadequacy
4. Furtiveness
Though seeming harmless, each (and their combination) are very potent proponents of evil. They also work together and support each other – Fear is the opposite of Love and perfect Love casts out fear (they do not co exist, though it is claimed we should Love and Fear God – for brevity we would not discourse on this now).
Fear comes from self centred focus…. Humans fear what is perceived as a threat to our self interest, whereas Love comes from self denial for Love does not seek it’s own/ isn’t selfish.
Fear is supported by self consciousness so that the more focused on self a person is rather than the Master, the more fear the person walks in. With fear and self consciousness also comes the feeling of insecurity/inadequacy. Crucially, fear, self consciousness and insecurity always lead to furtiveness as an attempt to compensate.
All four effects come from furtiveness and work to produce the same in it’s victim. The Devil hides his initial intentions with the express purpose that others become like him – furtive!!
God is Light and fellowship with Him requires complete exposure… it’s self deception to claim to walk with God and be furtive. This is why the world has laid in darkness….. men have not walked in complete exposure but have hidden. The more men (male & female) hide, the greater power and authority evil retains over us.
However, as men (male & female) walk in complete exposure… the greater power & authority good has over us. Also, we have greater fellowship with God…… a prerequisite for good fellowship with our fellow men (male & female).
Telling God explicitly our dirtiest thoughts, imaginations, dreams, feelings etc and leaving nothing out is part of walking in complete exposure. This is very important to walking in the Light and in fellowship with God.
As we do…we find that the parts of us we bring to the open before Him become weaker and less controlling. Interestingly, God already knows these things and our actions serve us benefit rather than Him. He doesn’t change and requires men change to get back to His initial intended order.
The fall drew men into darkness/furtiveness through fear, self centredness and insecurity but redemption comes as men walk in His Light – and this grace of freedom is given by the Lord. There are effects/fruits of walking in darkness and there are also those of walking in the Light.
Prior to the fall... when knew only good but the fall brought a knowledge of both good and evil. We must now choose good and reject evil.....
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness......... 1 John 1:5-9
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind…. 2Timothy 1:7

Deep! Fear is in fact the first sign of evil and confirmed by Adam whose first statement when he heard God’s voice was “I was afraid”. I like the claim that “Fear is the opposite of Love” but how can this be justified where hatred threatens to occupy the same position. The functionality or presence of Love appears to have been used in relation to ‘words and opposite’.
Your research is deep and I will pay good attention to these four key elements of evil and Love more. Please write more. lol
