The Two Trees..

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city...........Revelations 22:14.

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil......Genesis 2: 9

There were two life choices presented to man after creation/formation - these were to walk after God's love and experience life from such perspective or rather to experience life from a perspective of knowledge/facts. The two trees in the garden represent these options and man who was created to rule over the earth cannot fulfill this capacity when subjected/constrained by knowledge of what he rules over as a sole determining factor for rule. Knowledge limits ability and we deal with issues according to the constraints knowledge present. Though living based on knowledge is bad in itself... a lack of knowledge is fatal and worse than knowledge itself.

There is a more excellent way to life than following knowledge and it is represented by the tree of Life. Not to be taken literally - it simply means to follow God's Love. Love is the cardinal command and gives access to God's way of Life. It is not based on what men know but rather surrender to God - selflessness. Men must fear God to obey His command and it is to Love. Walking by knowledge would never get men to the highest purpose God has, walking in Love would.

And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecc 12:12 -13

For we walk by faith, not by sight..... 2 Corinthians 5:5

Love requires faith... trust is by faith and upholds Love, so that faith is the catalyst for Love.

The Lord performed alot of works while on earth - so much so that the volume of them could not be contained in books in the world!!! The Word is Truth - The Lord performed much during His ministry on earth but the Word doesn't elude to Him teaching much besides the central theme of Love/Life and often in parables. For such a performer, He spoke disproportionately little and when He did, He hardly spoke in easy to understand words!!

Christ ministry was one of redemption (a purchase & ultimate restoration to the intended order).... a reversal from convention. Men are pulled away from knowledge not by knowledge but a demonstration of the fallacies in knowledge through knowledge defying acts such as the miracles the Lord performed and were the hallmarks of His ministry. This was the Lord's demonstration of His work and His actions were aimed at a greater impact that to show off. He was demonstrating how men must live..... based on faith/ trust in God.

Men must now choose Love over knowledge.... Love would always give the ultimate Life God would for men and knowledge would bring death together with fear. There is no fear in Love and it's the Father's perfect recipe for men.... alternatives would always produce fear and lesser Life than can be had.

There were two trees... one was chosen and the second was prohibited subsequently. The second is now available for all but the first must be released.
